Description: Such a perfect name for this quilt! Linda envisioned heavy quilting for jungles and very angular geometric designs. She used bold bright YLI Jean Stitch thread to outline the prominent appliqué pieces and stayed with a matching soft cotton thread for quilting the ferns and Greek key designs. All quilting is completely freehand.
Cheri cut all the pieces of this quilt from a single piece of fabric and then hand appliquéd them to the solid background fabric. The fabric used for the appliqué is also the backing material for the quilt. The Swarovski crystals add highlights after the quilt is completed. Linda and Cheri often work as a two-person team on quilt projects but never have any input into each other's creative design work.
Awards: 1st place Dallas Quilt Celebration 2000, Best of Show MQS 2000, juried in IQA 2000, published in Ultimate Guide to Longarm Quilting.
