Quilt TV
Completed: March 2005
Size: 80" x 80"
Description: Quilt TV is a stunning quilt from far away or up close. Cheri's hand appliquéd pieces are designed to allow plenty of quilting space for Linda. One of Linda's greatest pleasures in quilting is to use colored thread to change the surface of the quilt. The appliqué and the quilting on this quilt are so integrated, one has to look hard and long to distinguish the difference. If you look closely at the middle of the quilt, it appears to be a box with a test pattern inside of it, like the old TV's (do you remember?). And above that TV is an antenanna with electricity going back and forth between them. Cheri did not tell Linda what she had named the quilt when she gave it to her, but it turned out splendidly.
