Screaming Peacocks
Sold: 2004
Completed: March 2002
Size: 80" x 80"
Description: With the exception of “The Supper” quilt, I have never spent so much time quilting on a quilt. Every square inch is very heavily quilted with intricate freehand designs. The larger designs are also freehand and Trapunto. Threads used are embroidery thread by Mettler, 60 Tex variegated poly thread and YLI metallic thread.
Cheri cut all the motif design work from a very colorful fabric, pieced and then appliquéd it to purple cotton sateen. This colorful fabric is also used for the backing on the quilt.
